Creative offsites and strategic resets are structured as 2-night stays, allowing teams to settle into the atmosphere on the first evening with sunset hot tub experiences, firepit gatherings, stargazing beneath the dark sky reserve, and engage in slower, more meaningful conversations, before waking up immersed in the environment and beginning the retreat properly the following morning — no rushed hotel-style late afternoon check-ins.

Food naturally becomes part of the wider experience at Longlands Devon, with many groups gathering around the lakeside BBQ and firepit on the first evening before the main retreat begins the following morning.

For relaxed outdoor dining, we regularly recommend Exmoor BBQ for slow-smoked meats, sharing menus and lakeside BBQ catering, either fully catered or prepared for guests to cook themselves over the firepit.

Groups can also order locally sourced BBQ packs and breakfast hampers from Besshill Farm Shop, arrange traditional North Devon hog roasts for larger gatherings, or book wood-fired pizza truck catering for arrival evening.
